Fish are dying, lost a Tang,Clown and a Angel in less than a week.

Currently setting up a QT tank I've freshwater dipped the remaining fish the 2nd clown does not look good, the other two ( a chromis and a Damsel appear fine for now) was able to finally get a picture of the sick fish. It seems they appear fine then I go back an hour or 2 later and atleast 1 is covered in this stuff and doesnt last but a day more. Once they get this on their body they have heavy breathing and are stressed out to the max.

I'm about to just quit this is the 2nd time my tank had had velvet, left it fallow the first time for almost 3 months and now a year later its back

I don't blame you... I am about there myself! Probably has something to do with the way the moon and stars are aligned... Lol!!!
Seems like the fish these days are sissy's, kinda shows they don't belong in our homes in a tank.

Definitely makes me even more mad i just dropped about 1.5k in lighting alone.

My 150G is lightly stocked for the same reason and I’m going to focus more on coral now

Fish mortality is really hard on the psyche. Coral death is unfortunate but I really don't get as upset about it.

Totally sorry about the losses. Especially after the investment. I have been there, most of us have.

I had velvet take 3/4 of my tank in days. It first showed up on my clown years ago. Since them I will never put a clown in my tank again.

I am not saying clowns = brook/velvet, but for me it does.

I feel the same way about Tangs. Yellow are hardy everything else. Dies in a month and kills the rest of your fish.

Many tangs should probably not be aquariums. They are big swimmers and the close quarters of a tank just are not big enough to let them enjoy their swim through life.
