Thank has been up for six months. Has a bunch of SPS, inverts (including emerald crab and blood shrimp) and a Goni. RSR 250. Fish were essentially all stocked at same time. 2 clowns, 2 wrasse, Coral Beuaty, Goby and a Hawkfish.
However, recently the Goby died and one of the clownfish and the yellow wrasse are missing. This has happened over past two weeks. Water parameters are fine (Am 0, Nitrite .25-.5, Nitrate 5), except i am starting to get a brown algae bloom (decomposing fish?). The corals however are doing great so I have been wracking my brain.
But, today I saw the hawkfish chasing around the pintail wrasse all over the tank. The yellow wrasse that is now missing had a red spot on her before she disappeared. Also, the clownfish is hiding, but the pintail wrasse is just acting incredibly lethargic and not going around the tank at all. Just staying in one spot.
Any suggestions? Do you think the hawkfish is to blame?
