I have a 20l reef and had two clowns in it. One is my original fish from when I started 7 years ago, and has been the female for a while now. I have been through a couple smaller males and just recently lost my newest 1 year old male. Somehow he got sucked into a mj800 pump. No sickness that I knew of and no signs.

Anyway, now my sole clown is just sitting at the bottom of the tank and doesn't care to swim. To the point I just thought she was dead and reluctantly went to scoop her out only to have her swim off. Then straight back into the spot and sitting again.

What gives?

If you had been made a widow three times in your life, you'd probably be depressed too, or maybe she's a black widow, and is killing off her smaller mates. Maybe she doesn't want to be married. We don't even understand the human pysche, so what s fish is thinking, who know?
Congrats, by the way, in keeping the female alive for a good number of years.
