Ok, here is a little unorthodox idea, if you absolutely get fed up. Dose sentinel heart worm pill, bad news, everything will go...even good. I would save this for a last resort, but I have done it a few times for my acro collection....

You mean crustaceans only and worms, larger crabs and shrimp usually survive if they can get out of the stun mode.

Well right now my biggest concern is the eunice. I do have baby rock crabs that need to come out but they are less than an in. So currently are not killing fish. Most of my rock picking/living fish have been killed. I will try to remove the culprit with as little collateral damage however I may have to do more drastic measures to insure I can safely keep fish. It is more than just the money I spent on these fish. Many were over 5 years old. I am mostly angry at myself because I screwed up. I obviously rushed through curing this rock.

I went a little overkill on my dose last time. Killed everything, crabs, pistol shrimp...snail were fine however. I guess it just depends, I was also using sentinel that had something extra to kill tape worms, maybe that had a larger impact?

The tapeworm ingredient is praziquantel, same as prazipro which I thought was reef safe

This guy grew up in my old HOB refugium. I'd populated it with Pods from somewhere and I think it came in as a tiny thing. First time I ever noticed it was only dime sized. Pretty soon it got big enough that any snail I tried to put in the 'fuge he immediately grabbed and consumed. 2nd time that happened was the last time.
Now I throw him the already dead ones. Very aggressive bugger. But I kinda like him.

I read recently that another member had the same menace in his tank. He watched what rock he was in, pulled out that rock and poured ginger ale (or 7-up) into the holes of the rock. He said in less then a minute that worm dropped into the bucket. (Unharmed of course for the Wiz, they don't like the carbonation).

That is plan B as soon as my doc clears me to lift enough weight. To pull out rock. All the critters have to stay in the heaviest base rock of course. Can never catch one in a light top rock. Im hoping in a week or two!

I was wondering if you removed fish and other inhabitants you want to keep( corals will not be effected if good bacteria is not killed)) Maybe you could Nuke the tank with CoralRX. Now here's the catch. Can you effectively remove the CoralRX with Carbon and massive water changes????? Then re-seed tank with good bacteria??? just a drastic idea.

I don't know but I'd imagine that might wipe out any pod population you may have.

Keep in mind that to catch a wrasse, the predator has to be fast, very fast. Make sure its not your fish dieing, and scavengers cleaning up.

My then 10ish year old daughter did that once, but my robe swung out between the door and the doorframe. All she got was a soft little poof, and her bad mood was replaced by giggles.

Sorry guys no luck in traps. I don't think the worm will completely leave his rock. Im too chicken to try and starve it out. Don't want to chance loosing anymore fish. I just got back from doctor and have to schedule another surgery next week so rock removal will not happen yet

I know you're going through some stuff right now. And you should definitely concentrate on that. But in the end if you wind up just removing the rock I will pay to have that shipped. If it's all too much I definitely understand. But if there is any way to get that worm to me I would greatly appreciate it. Good luck with your surgery

Don't feel bad Wiz. I have a plan to remove the rock and rid it of the baddies. I will be as gentle as possible to save my good hitchickers so I'm sure I can get a live chunk of worm lol
