Has anyone ever sent out a fish to determine cause of death?

Yes but through a vet to identify bacteria, parasites, etc.

That was where I was trying to get at. Was curious as to how much it would cost.

Any updates on this? I had a fish pass this evening and the cause of it quitting eating after a year has me puzzled. I sure don’t want to lose anymore of the 14 left in the tank to something I could treat. All of them are still eating.

There are fish vets around. One in Denver I know of.

I’d recommend putting it on ice until you figure out what to do.

It’s in a baggie in the fridge since just after pics were taken.
