Hey guys, so over the past month I’ve added a Kole Tang, a large female square Anthia and 2 smaller queen anthias to my tank. Since then it seems like they’re hungry bc they’ll come to the glass when I’m over by the tank but when it comes time to add food in there, they all just swim around and look at it but barely touch it. It’s just frozen mysis cubes that I thaw out in tank water and dump back in. Any ideas? Should I switch foods? I also have New spectrum Pellets and some seaweed that they barely go after as well... meanwhile the Clownfish and shrimp I’ve had for awhile still go after everything they can find.. maybe they’re still getting adjusted to their new homes??

Try garlic extract or blend it up with a pinch of garlic powder

I take all of my food cubes once a month and put them in a food processor with a small peice of garlic and 3 sheets of nori and some reef chili and blend them into a paste with some ro water and then spoon them into a sammich bag and re freeze them. When I feed I break off a quarter size peice and hold it in the top of the tank and they all come to eat.

They must be italian fish because they love the garlic

Hahaha Italian fish lol... I’ve tried garlic as well and I get the same result... they seem so interested but only a nibble here and there

this batch contains:
formula 1 and 2
half a bottle of reef chili
3 nori sheets
4 whole jumbo shrimp (heads and shell removed and cleaned)
2 clams
mysis
brine
and half of that piece of garlic (thumb added for size)

blend well and serve
