I knew I should have bought an acclimation box!
6 days ago I added a carpenter wrasse, sunburst anthia and spotted mandarin to my 14 month old 75 gallon mixed reef.
The inhabitants before the addition were a Kole Tang (has been there 10 months), 2 stubby ocellaris clowns and a royal gramma.
The Kole Tang is a huge bully.
The Carpenter Wrasse is finally swimming the tank for the most part freely. No injuries from Kole Tang.
The spotted mandarin is doing fine, no one seems to bother him, he is very small too.
My concern is the sunburst anthia. I haven't seen him out of the rocks since introduction to tank 6 days ago. I can see him hiding behind a rock and looks ok, but he will not come out. Not sure if the Kole is chasing him when he comes out or not since I can't watch tank 24/7, but I do have a wireless camera on it and watch it periodically and still don't see the anthia ever leave the rock. He hasn't fed since intro to tank.
Before intro to tank, they went through TTM for 12 days followed by 2 weeks of observation where they ate like pigs.
I have moved the rocks around a bit to change territory and I even tried a mirror for the Kole tang. Only did mirror for a day since he seemed not to really bother with it.
Any suggestions or comments? How long will the anthia last without eating? What else can I do?
