Hello,
I just purchased an Allardi Clownfish today and acclimated it to my tank and drop him in about an hour ago. He seems to be full of energy and getting along well with my 2 other fish (Chromis and Tail Spot Blenny). I have a 16 day old tank that has been cycling fairly quick by my test readings and from the water i have taken to get tested at 2 different LFS'. All parameters seem to be good in my tank. There are a couple small mushrooms, 5 hermits, and 5 turbo snails as well. My concern is that in this past hour since the Allardi has been added all 3 fish are hanging out on one side of the tank. They are all moving fine and have all eaten. The only thing i can think of is that I have 1 air pump in my tank (due to it's small size) and it is on the side that the fish are hanging out on. However, it is hard for me to believe that may be the reason why they are on that side of the tank. The pump circulates 390 GPH so I do not think it is necessarily weak for my size tank or anything like that. Any ideas what the reason could be for these 3 little guys to all be hanging out on this one side of the tank?
