Ok,
I have a 180 FOWLR, with plenty of room. So far inhabitants are...
French angel(3")
Queen angel(2")
2 perc clowns
naso tank(3")
six line wrasse
filefish, small
2 gobys

Here is my question. A local guy is selling a tank raised emperor(been captive for 4 years) fully grown with aduclt colors. He said its 8". Do you think I could add him into the tank without problems? I am thinking since he is so big, and the other angels are small, they wouldnt have a problem. I am not worried about the tank being biologically ok, since I have a 75 fuge with liverock, a huge skimmer, carbon reactor, etc. I just want someones opinion on the personalities of the fish together. I love the 2 smaller angels now, and dont want to cause a huge problem with fighting and someone dying. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Bill

Howdy Bill!
There should be no issue with adding the Emporer. Anticipate some bickering with occasioanal split fins, but nothing too dramtic. Rearranging the rockwork while introducing the new angel should slow everybody's roll.

i strongly recommend some sort of audio recording to be done during and after the addition. The larger genera of angels, (Pomacanthus sp, Euxiphipops sp., Pomocentrus sp., etc.), display their displeasure with one another with grunts, creaks and clicking noises. The first time i heard it was a blue face angel and an imperator angel disagreeing. i thought the tank stand was collapsing! It sounded like a wooden door was being twisted and breaking!
