Hi Guys ,
I'm a newbie here, only done a few posts, anyway i have a trigger only tank with a clown trigger in. I seem to be having some difficulties with kh and calcium. My Calcium is at about 320ppm and to be honest my kh is off test reading chart (high). My other levels are, Ammonia 0ppm, Nitrite 0ppm, Nitrate 0.02-0.04 , ph 8.3 and salt 35ppt.
Could someone maybe explain how my kh is so high and maybe how to reduce it and my calcium raised up a little please. I know it is not a reef tank, but i would like his levels to be right and with my other reef tank i dont seem to have this problem.
Thanks guys
Ashley.

Have you dosed anything to the water?

How are you measuring alkalinity?
Hi ,
Thanks for your reply, i measure using API test for KH, And Calcium. I only dose Seachem products ,i use seachem 8.3 marine buffer after water changes. Oh and also i dose red sea no-pox every day 2ml. Just to keep my nitrate and phosphates at the perfect level it works very well. Only other products are seachem stability and seachem pristine and seachem trace all these are dosed on water change days.
Many Thanks
Ashley
p.s my calcium has seem to of risen up today an extra 20-30ppm.So i will test that again tomorrow, but still my KH is off the chart high?
