Fish opening and closing mouth while swimming?

I notice my one spot foxface and my Mccoskers flasher wrasse (in qt) swim around and open and close their mouth pretty much all the time. Is this normal? It’s not a rapid open and close just like let’s say a human eating. Not sure if I should be worried or if other peoples fish do it

Mine is asleep, camouflaged under his favourite coral at the moment so I'll try to get a video later!

Most fish open and close their mouths while swimming, yes, but the video looks more like a fish that has just gotten something into its mouth and is eating it. Doing that constantly would be a bit odd.

It doesn't immediately look like distress or irritation, at least.

This is the best of a few clips that I managed to get. He ate about an hour ago and had not found anything else prior to the video. It is just like he's chewing but it pretty constant. Nothing wrong for me.

It must be a normal thing for them then. I’m jealous yours comes out with you right at the tank lol. I swear mine can hear me walk in and hides until I walk out
