I have a Red Sea Peninsula 500 (105g DT and 30g sump) that has been cycled for about a month. I have a few hardy coral frags and a very small CUC to keep up with the algae that is starting to grow. I plan to quarantine all of my fish and my QT is in the middle of its cycle--would expect it to be complete at the end of this month. My first two fish to introduce will be the obligatory clownfish (haven't decided which type, but leaning towards either a storm, snowflake or de vinci--my LFS has several beautiful pairs).

Considering that I'll be QT'ing my fish, I'd like to develop a plan for introducing fish after my clowns. Considering a 3-4 week QT, I'll probably be looking to introduce fish to the DT each month until I reach 12+/- fish in total. I know that fish selection is personal, but curious as to what others introduced for their first 5 to 6 fish after the clowns and how you sequenced them. Thank you!

There are SO many factors to consider when deciding on a stock list. Utility (do they serve a purpose?), bioload, compatibility, personality, suitability with corals, etc... With a tank that size, you have a lot of options. I would do some research to get a general idea of what you want to see in your tank and build a stock list from there. Then the order of introduction should be easier.

To get started, I would recommend a bristletooth tang (like a kole tang). Those guys are algae eating machines. Also might consider a wrasse for pest management. My melanaurus wrasse has been keeping the bristle worm population in my DT in check for years.
