Fish QT With Formalin

Hello sir

LFS in my town use formalin to quarantine fish For 14 days, they claim their fish ich free with that method..

they use formalin for 14 days because its safer than copper, fish still eating and guarantee ich free..

opinion sir? Its safe if i buy fish with that QT method?

Sure it's safe.
Go buy it.
Then when you get it home, pop it in your quarantine tank and do your own meds.

Formalin is a known carcinogen. Fish that have been treated with it "may" have shortened life spans.
