Fish Qty for tank

I know the minimum requirements for a tank per species of fish but what is a general idea of number of small fish for a 60-75ga tank? I'm thinking I want 6 total fish. Max size of ea fish would be around 3-5"max.

There is no inch/gal fish ratio. In the past this was used as a guide but is incredibly wrong. There are many factors coming into play mainly what type of fish you are interested in. Some do not get along, some produce more waste than others mainly predator fish, also what kind of tank you want. Are you wanting a mixed reef tank? Or fowler? Some fish are very territorial or require more room to swim than others.

i have an overstocked 65 with 9 fish. all get along and the tank is doing great!

Be a fowler.
2 clowns
2 wrasses
1 angler
1 damsel

Least that's what I'm thinkin... Who knows I have too many darn fish to choose from haha
