I have a few fish in quarantine. That are in 3rd week. I lost one of my clowns that were captive bred. I did a water change I think I hit the fish with a pvc pipe. All the other fish are fine. My question is can I replace the fish because it was part of a pair of clowns. Or should I wait til these fish are done with their quarantine period. This is my first time at quarantine. Your thoughts.

If you add a fish you reset the clock for all the fish in that tank.

You can definitely replace the clown, and if they are juvenile, there's a good chance they will bond. I'd leave the other clown in the quarantine and move the others when their time is up, and then replace the clown and do another quarantine period with just the clowns.

+1 , I agree with the above. Also, super doubtful that you hit the fish with PVC and caused its death. Most likely it was sick or stressed or both. Make sure the filtration/aeration etc of the qt are good and watch the ammonia and nitrate levels. Good luck!
