Hello I'm having an issue with a couple of the fish in my tank a yellow, blue and powdered blue tang
Yellow tang is about 4 inches is recovering from Hlle and unfortunately has now got a bacterial infection red blotches on it

The blue tang is about 2 inches and powdered blue is about 4 inches all 3 of the fish are breathing very rapidly but still eating and acting normal. Will all eat like pigs anything I put in apart from the powdered which hasn't really gotten used to pellets i feed nori, brineshrimp ( garlic spirulina/ omega 3) mysis and hikari pellets small and large for a goby and other fish like wrasse and the blenny go after.

I believe I caused the HLLE by as my little brother wanted to help with my tank and he changed the carbon for me and put way too much and didnt rinse it off either and put it in a very high flow area of the sump. I didnt catch it for about a week. Immediately removed it and has been out for about 3 weeks did a 40% water change and then the next day did another 80% to remove the carbon dust

Fish still breathing very fast.

I have a gyre creating flow at the surface of the tank so i don't think its oxygen related

Not ich. No signs of it. I did see the blue tang scratch on a rock a couple times but that was over a week ago and still no signs of ich i was recommended to use melafix to help the yellow tang with the bacterial infection and started using it today.

I have a toadstool, hammer coral, gsp and a trumpet coral. They were added in the spam of 5 weeks
Can the toadstools toxin effect the fish especially with no carbon running in the tank.

I have 36 volts when the heaters are on going through the tank could that be a problem?

According to our electrical guru, 20-30 volts is normal and not a problem.
For the Yellow Tang the red spots need addressing sap. Treating with NFG powder works the best.

NFG is best used in a QT.
