Fish recommendations for a 20 gallon tank

Hi all, was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for fish in a 20 gallon tank. I have been told that having a cube shaped tank will mean i can't get as many fish a rectangular tank. I was already planning on getting two clowns and some coral eventually.

Ive got a 15 cube with two clowns, a coral banded shrimp, and an emerald crab. My clowns are smaller now but I wouldnt add anything else to the tank but maybe a watchmen goby or something cause of how the clowns look in the tank, they use the whole cube for swimming around and seem content. I feel like they would be cramped if I were to put another fish that was an open water swimming fish vs a perching fish. If that gives you any ideas!

There are plenty of tiny and affordable fish, mostly gobies. My Diamond Watchman is not small, but the hardest worker, all day sand sifting.

If you want a pair of clowns, I would do them and stop there. They get pretty aggressive with others in cramped spaces - there are plenty of cool inverts you could add alongside them though.

Clownfish, dottybacks, damselfish, firefish, gobies, and blennies all make good beginner nano tank fish.
