Fish Room Advice

I am looking at getting a 225-280gallon tank and plumbing it to my basement. I have a good size 10x10 room that I will be converting to a fish room. My question is what's the upside to using a glass tank, a custom built sump, or just grabbing some 100-150gal water tubs/troughs. I was looking at a large custom sump from GEO or Synergy but I could save ALOT by just grabbing some tubs for like $200. Just wondering what you guysl would do and why?

Ive never thought of it from this angle but I think it's to be able to clean easier because you can see from multiple angles, some tubs may release toxins and skimmers can't be too deep
