I have taken over a room in our house and dedicated it to our/my fish room. Currently there are only two tanks in there, but it has held as many as five at one point. The current two are a 125 and a 150.

My house is on a slab foundation, so floor can get to be a bit tricky as the concrete isn't exactly perfect. I have done the concrete paint twice now, and it is peeling again. I feel from the moisture and salt. Our living room has laminate and is laid on top of dri-core, a underlayment that is held off the concrete for any water issues. I could do this, but then what type of floor? I really don't want carpet in this room, so any suggestions?

What about that garage floor epoxy that car enthusiasts use?

That is the paint I am referring to. Once just painted with the chips, and once painted with chips and the clear coat over the top. Neither lasted in this environment.

I used the faux hardwood vinyl strips. Really easy to clean up.

That's odd that stuff is suppose to handle oil, gas, and grease. Guess saltwater is harder on paint.

saltyfish, that is what I thought too. If it is suppose to hold up to the garage, it should handle my tank room.

KoleTang, I will admit, the second coat was done kinda hurriedly. It was completely scuffed and prepared though. New paint like this doesn't adhear to anything with a gloss to it.

Here is the room, slightly under construction. Also the newest biggest crack and peel so far. Pardon the boxes
