Well we have started the conversion of the formal living room in to the fish room. Carpets out and we are currently painting. Next is crown and tile. I will be driving to The Reef Shack this week to get my 75 drilled and pick up the overflow he is building for me. The far wall will have a 75 gallon display tank on the left and my 55 gallon will become a frag/grow out tank on the right with a 20 gallon refugium in the middle. We will probably put some different algae in there and a seahorse or two. I am going to build two separate stands and trim them to look like one wall to wall built in stand. There will be a qt tank under one of the stands and a trigger systems sump under the other with the ATO tank as well. I will post pics of the tanks and progress as we go.

Following along keep us posted.

Tile and crown starts tomorrow tank pics too

Ok painting is complete with the exception of trim, crown, and the stands. I picked up the materials tonight for most of that though. I also have a couple pics of the 75 that I snagged up at a price I couldn't pass up. It looks rough but it is mostly clean now and I have painted the back and oak colored trim black to match the other tanks.

Grout tomorrow then shoe and tank stand time. I have to get to the LFS to pick up the overflow and have the tank drilled as well. Where does time go? I know where the money goes.

Thanks my wife picks all of the colors and decor. The stands are going to be a color between the two we have on the wall

Well the room is ready. Some of the furniture will be here this week. Hopefully I can tackle the tank stands next weekend. If I can get that done we will move the tanks I have in there. It all depends on where I can squeeze the time for the stand build.

Sweet. Can't wait to see the following updates man.

I will keep you posted as it goes things are going to slow down a bit though. Vacation is over and the bank needs to recover. The tanks is being drilled and having the overflow installed now though.

Nice tile. It's looks like a fun project.

The room face lift went pretty well. Those tiles are anything but fun, I have installed quite a few floors over the years but they were 12 or 16 inch squares with 1/4 or 3/8 grout lines They are fairly easy. These with 3/32 grout lines and being 4 feet long proved to be a pain in the bum. Unsanded grout is a different animal and the narrow lines were tough. It turned out nice but I won't be doing too many more floors like this one.

love the room! Love the colors your wife has chosen - she's got quite the talent! and how lucky are you - your wife supports your hobby so much that you get to devote an entire room in your house to it! looking forward to the updates! oh, and your daughter is darling! :)

Thanks I am lucky. We have 3 rotten ones. We all enjoy the tanks. The kids love them too. My baby girl is a sweetheart.
