I have 3 fish rubbing in the sand every now and then I dont see anything on them one yellow kole tang one clown staying at the top and one firefish ..
They are eating good and seem to feel good ...none of the other fish are doing this . None are hiding..
They just got out in this tank out of qt about 4 weeks ago they had all been treated and have not added anything new any suggestions?

May seem like a redundant question but while in QT what did you treat for and what did you treat with? How long for each treatment?

I treated with copper for 4 weeks the prazipro for a week
Then I did a treatment with kanaPlex like it said on the box

Has your tank prior to these fish ever had an outbreak of anything? I’m assuming other than flashing the fish don’t appear sick?

Depending on what you had outbreak wise you may have been short on the fallow period. Did the total fallow time exceed 76 days? If not you may have brought something with you from the original outbreak. If you can catch the Tang do a FW dip to check for flukes. Your original fish may have built up a resistance and hence not showing symptoms.

For Flukes I woukd treat with General Cure 5-7 days apart (2 doses) but should be done in QT. Before removing your fish I would FW dip them to make sure they have flukes to avoid unnecessary treatments. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

If the original outbreak was ich, I’d bet my bottom it’s still around. The fallow time for ich is 76 days or longer... I went 90 days on my second go around (yep, I did it twice)

They are often affected most/first in the gills...so definitely possible to see scratching and rubbing with no noticeable spots. Keep us updated....
