I feel like I shouldn’t have to question this being here so long but I suppose I’m just being extra sure. I’m transferring live rock from my previous 65g to my new 100g with dry sand and some cured dry rock.

The question is, can I transfer my fish into the tank immediately since the live rock should eat up any ammonia. They’ve been sitting in a holding tub for about two weeks and I’d like to get them out.

Hello, the best is to have an ammonia and nitrite reading before transferring them.

Cool. I was testing 0 nitrites and detectable Nitrates about an hour after adding the rock. I’ll re test when I get home and see what I got. My ammonia test kit expired go figure..

had some MB7 I tossed in that couldn’t hurt
