ok..so let me ask, I have a few fish in QT. They are doing some scratching. I took the potters angel out for a scrap and look under the scope. nothing seen.. So you understand I scraped the tail, body and behind the gills. nothing. I have pics under scope of ick from past issues and know what to look for. body is a little pale. but that can be from raising the copper over past week.. that is another story.. copper is at .15 now. looking to get at .30 using Chelated Copper.

so thought maybe flukes.. prazi bath and fresh water dip and nothing still. so what ever it is it is limited to the inside gill area.

Thoughts.? thank you

but that can be from raising the copper over past week.. that is another story.. copper is at .15 now. looking to get at .30 using Chelated Copper.

I'm confused by this. Therapeutic range for chelated copper is 1.5-2.0 ppm. Are you sure you aren't using ionic copper i.e. Cupramine?

ok... thank you.. I was told it was .25 to .30 chelated. I was trying to raise it to .30 over the past two weeks but never hit that number as kordan product was pretty diluted and I have some crushed gravel in a Tupperware for the wrasses.

is .30 chelated copper toxic and if not what side effects.

@chicago Are you using Kordon Copper-AID? If so, you need to ditch that stuff, and switch over to Coppersafe or Copper Power.

ok back on this thread.. I ditched the kordan stuff. I had a local shop make me up a batch with NFP products.. correct dose in future for this is ?

Not sure. Make was part citric and copper. My understanding is its chelated copper.

Ill find out in the on Monday and post.. I appreciated the help... thanks

I will post on Monday and thanks for your help... I watched them make it with the powder from NFP. two parts.. but I will get the specifics and post so we can put this to rest.. thanks again..
