Hey everyone, this is my first post on reef2reef, so sorry if this seems like a newbie question. I got my tank running for about a month and a half, and add clownfish about a week and half ago. So far my ammonia and nitrites are zero but one of my clownfish seem to be twitching out. ITs not continuous and only does it from time to time, does that seem normal for a clownfish or is there something wrong? I cant seem to get a video of it as happens at random and for a few seconds, not long enough for me to capture a video of it. I asked my bf, who has a saltwater tank for a few years, and he can

When clowns are establishing dominance/submission, the clown that submits usually turns somewhat perpendicular to the dominant clown and shakes or quivers to show that submission.

If it's twitching when it's in front of another one, it's completely normal. Usually the smaller/less dominant will twitch in front of the larger/more dominant fish.

Call it a mating ritual
