Hey all. I am new to the hobby but I have a 5 month old 40 gallon tank that is running beautifully and so why not start another lol. I purchased a 30G long (pictures attached) for corals primarily however I wanted to ask your opinion on what I selected for fish.

Here is my selection
Mystery wrasse
Blue spot jawfish
Orange spotted file fish
Chalk basslet.
Catalina goby
Royal garmaa or two clowns

What's your thoughts and in what order would you do them.

Respectfully,

thoughts are

mystery wrasse gets pretty big and mean.. i wouldn't put one in that size tank

blue spotted jawfish need cooler temps than normal reef tanks

catalina gobies live off california, so they need a lot cooler temps

are you aware of how difficult orange spotted filefish are? what they eat?

What colorful wrasse (that is not status quo) would you reccomend.

The jawfish will do fine in 77degrees.

catalina gobies live off california, so they need a lot cooler temps/

everything I read says 70 to 78 but and article I just read said 60 to 70 and they are prone to disease and wont last long in tropical water temps. What would you suggest as a replacement?

Yes I am aware that's why I am asking what people think.

what's a status quo wrasse?

there are a few people that seem to have success with bsj at the 77 range, but low 70s is better. they're temperate fish by nature

any goby other than one that comes from california
