Hey everyone,

I'm pretty new to the hobby, and learned a hard lesson very early on. I went fallow for 6 weeks and I now qt anything wet for the reccomended 72 days.

I have done a lot of searching and researching for my fish list, but where I'm struggling is on the order that I should add the fish to keep them happiest.

Current Fish:
2 clownfish
1 yellow watchman goby (paired w/ pistol)

Future Fish:
1 one spot foxface (juvenile)
1 wrasse (TBD some sort of fairy)
1 long nose hawkfish (small)
1 dragnet (mandarin or ruby)
1 coral beauty (small)
1 powder brown tang (juvenile)

I'm assuming the tang would go last. And I've read that the beauty can be a jerk to newer more passive teammates. So in my novice opinion, I would put the future fish in the same order as they are listed, likely in sets of two, and in separate qts. By the time the mandarin would go in the tank would be about 10 months old.

I'm only looking for suggested order of additions unless you strongly feel that certain fish would not do well together.

Thanks a lot for your feedback on this post. This site has been the most valuable resource out there.

If this is for your 75 gallon tank in your build thread, I'd probably advise against the tang or rabbitfish, but thats up to you.

Id say wrasses first
Hawk 2nd
Angel and foxface together next
Tang next
Dragonet last

Thanks for the quick response. The list is for my 75g, but a lot of the equipment I purchased for the 75 and am collecting now, are for a 150g. I'm expecting to transition to the larger tank in the next 6 to 8 months.

Agree on the tang for the 75, so I'd probably wait until the new tank is ready before adding. I've seen several one spot foxface at my lfs that are very small, 1.5"-2". Couldnt I add the foxface to the current tank? Or would it outgrow the 75 to quickly?
