Anyone have good suggestions for a marine fish store in Los Angeles? Hopefully not too far from Westwood. I'm looking to sell some of my larger saltwater fish and buy some new ones or just buy some more! Would love the place to have a wide variety of fish like puffers, tangs, triggers, angelfish, groupers, wrasses, etc.
Thank you (sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, I'm new here ^_^)

Ultragem is about 25 minutes away from Westwood. It’s a great store from what I’ve heard and they have some amazing fish and corals available there!

Seaside tropical fish in Huntington Beach has a great variety of fish. They have a website which list their specials for the week.

I agree, this has been my lfs for 30 years, they have what your looking for was just in there a couple days ago although it's a drive from Westwood. There fish are always very healthy, haven't bought one though in over a year as my tank is fully overstocked but they have all come from there and it's float and plop in display, no quarantine for me ever.

Vivid Aquariums in/near Woodland Hills.

I second the Vivid Aquariums recommendation, given the relatively short drive to Canoga Park from Westwood. But be warned that if you’re keeping a Fish Only tank, you’re probably going home with some beautifully tempting frags, too. :-)

Call ahead and ask if they’ll buy your larger fish, but we’ve ordered some gorgeous fish from them before, with all surviving the overnight flight up to Northern Cal.

I just discovered LAX Aquariums. It's on Century, just a couple blocks from the Airport. Huge coral selection and great looking fish. Their prices were great compared to regular LFS. Izzy does the "shopping" there and will get anything I want on special order, usually in just a few days unless it's crazy exotic. I brought home two dwarf angels, an ultra rose bubble tip and what felt like a truck full of coral last weekend during their memorial day sale; such a great find. Now, I just need more money so I can do it again.

That's good to hear. I've been in there a couple if times and have been a little concerned about the health of their livestock. It seemed that it was a little overcrowded and the staff couldn't keep up with the maintenance.

It's great to see these recommendations. I love Vivid Corals. Unfortunately I am having a terrible experience with Ultragem in Burbank. I've paid over $10k for a custom tank/sump and have yet to get anything. It was supposed to be installed before the holidays. Now I am having to get my attorney involved to get my money back. Reading the Yelp reviews, I am not the only one having this issue. Nothing but lies from the owner.
