My fish got stuck in the back of my aio chamber i think and idk how to find out if he is ik there and how to get him out if he is its a fire fish and my tank is a 20 gallon panorama drop off innovative marine

flashlight and a very small net, if it is in there...i would look around the tank because firefish are jumpers. Good luck

Well the thing is i the chamber id like a upside down L and idk if he is hiding the part i cant get anything in there i put my hand in there and felt around but i didnt feel anything

the fish isnt going to let you touch it most like so doing that wont really help i would just look to see if it is really back there with a flashlight...if it died you cuc most likely would eat it overnight anyway so it may already be gone

Well i saw him just a few hours ago and ik my cuc didnt eat it because my clean up crew rn is just 3 hermit crabs

I looked in the back as much as i could but i didnt see anything but i just have a feeling he could be in there because i checked everywhere around were he could have possibly landed if he jumped

My firefish did the same thing:

I got him out by using my hand to scare him into my net, because the net was too bulky to make it all the way down. If your firefish in fact is in your sump, it is probably okay, as they’re quite capable of maneuvering through small crevices.

When i get back home i might try and lure him out with some brine shrimp

I guess kind of a tough spot to be in. Off hand I wondered if you could reverse the flow with higher gph pump basically blow him out. Also thought maybe make like a miniature cast net tied to a string that would kind of fit through there and possibly catch him.

Well i put a little food in there and he didnt go for it it’s frustrating not even knowing if he is in there or not because idk where he could have gone like my tank has not that many places to go or nothing could of eaten him besides my bubble tip but i dont think that its even big enough to eat him that fast if he was to get caught in its tentacles and i looked everywhere around the tank and found no body its driving me crazy because im worried if he dies he might cause everything else to die if i cant get the body out

I used my girlfriends phone which is small enough to fit in the back and video the chamber too see if he was there and i couldnt see him so im not sure what happened to him since then ive literally moved everything around the tank and have no signs of him any where he literally disappeared out of thin water

A dead fish body won't kill anything in a tank that's properly established.

I had a firefish get in the back so I cut piece of acrylic to trap him in the one chamber I could get into. Basically a long piece I could slide down into the chamber. Then I reached in and snagged him with my hands since he couldn't go hide in the other chambers.
