Fish suggestions for a 40 gal

I would like some different fish with personalities. Having difficulty with fish I like aka pretty and fitting my tank. Then there is also what fish plays wells with each other. Suggestions are welcome. This will be a mixed reef tank.

One of my favorite fish for that size tank is the longnose hawkfish, definitely a unique fish that doesnt act like any of my others.

Some others that I like include the blue dot jawfish and all dart fish.

You have many more options besides these, most gobies will work, clownfish, chromis, some smaller wrasses, blennies, etc.
