I am moving to a new apartment and the landlord just asked that I put some sort of carpeting with rubber backing or something underneath so any slashed or dripped water doesn't get on the floor.

What is my best avenue for this and are there any products you have used and recommend ? Thank you!

I have used a pond liner inside my stand before I put anything on it so just in case a spill inside the stand it will be easy to vacuum it and it protects the stand and floor. As for the mat, I think it's called water trapper or something

I'm not sure if you have a modells by you or a sport authority but they sell a mat that is waterproof and resistant to mold. It's in the yoga section.
