So every night i spend about a hour maintaning my 5 fish tanks.. 3 being fresh water and 2 being salt water maintenance water checks feeding.. Tonight for my AquaOne Reef 400.. Nothing really has changed all the nitrates are very low nitrites are low.. ammonia is low and ph is where it should be but tonight i decided i'd do a bit of play around with my fish tank lights.. out side i have a 2ft fish tank with small fresh water fish growing plants so it has a large fluro light on it.. the 3ft above that tank has 3 small low wattage leds that put out only enough for the fish to be able to sleep and see with out any issues.. etc no plants or anything it was just a hospital tank for my cichlids which is now a full time tank since the big fella is too big and vicious has eaten about 250$ Worth of fish -.- my cichlid tank inside is a 4ft tank in a custom cabinet / custom tank which i bought off some one for 300$ easily worth alot more and i had a ft light i bought off ebay on it and a 4ft light from my marine tank i swapped out for a better one.. i decided tonight to remove the 3ft and put it on my marine and swap out the dearer light for the cheaper 3ft light. to my surprise a 55$ ebay light is better then a 120$ light from a pet store.. on my reef 400 i now have 4t5 lights on and a cheapo light that is quite bright..
so my question is my lighting enough??
also do my corals look healthy? Ignore the clown fish he loves getting photos taken!
