as many of you know des moines, IA got hit with a lot of rain in some areas up to 10 inches of rain in 3 hours of time. My fish room was flooded a little bit. got that taken care of but the storm screwed up my central air. watching my saltwater temp. right now. hoping it won't go over80 degrees and kill my fish. it's been almost 24 hours and hot as sin in here. Hope they make it. I am opening up the basement window tonight since it's going to drop down to 72 degrees with a fan blowing to help it stay or drop below 80 degrees. I don't have a chiller. I might get a bag of ice and put it in the tank to try to get it down if it goes up any more. any suggestions.

Well, I live in AZ and use MH with a rimless tank. My tank hovers between 79.5 and 81. I try to get to 82 but can’t without a heater. Corals grow faster at warmer temp IME. No issues with fish either. When i had a rimmed acrylic tank, temp went as high as 87 on some summer days. No issues with the corals or fish.
