I suspect I've run into a case of fish TB. Need some advise!
This is a freshwater fish (Gouramis) that has showed signs of flukes heavy breathing flashing I gave the fish a paraguard bath and seen no signs of flukes. The fish acted better for about a week then the symptoms returned and I noticed the top of the left eye looked a bit cloudy so I went ahead with two weeks of Prazipro and still the fish was no better. I noticed the fish starting to develop a curve to the his spine. I tested the water for gh and found it to be zero suspecting possible calcium deficiency I began a month of wc's daily to restore GH. The fish has become skiddish and hides acts like a fish with osmotic shock darts around flashing about. Today I noticed the eye is completely cloudy and for the last month another fish (a rainbow ) has become skiddish as well very afraid of me when I approach the tank. I'm starting to suspect TB the only treatment I now about is kanamyacin for long periods of time 3-4 months or euthanasia, but I've been told all the fish in the tank will need to be euthanized and tank sterilized. Any recommendations on treatment or if all fish must be euthanized?
