I am having trouble catching an engineer goby. I am trying to move him or her from my 75 to my new 125. I tried sitting up late at night to catch it when it comes out, to removing some rocks to try to catch it and I am having no luck. Is there any trap or methods that you would you recommend?

I rent traps from my LFS that are a simple acrylic box with a door that drops down when you see the fish go inside. The trap is baited with food. Normally they are held on the side of the tank with magnets, but they can also be put directly on the substrate. I have never used the for Gobies but I have caught triggers and angels this way within minutes.

I built a screen out of the clear mesh and 1/2" pvc that was a little less than the width of the tank. Used a net to scare it to a corner and put the screen in place to trap it in a smaller space making it easier to catch with a net.

My LFS doesn't have any some I might have to buy a trap from foster&smith. I was looking at "Aqua Medic Fish Trap", do you know if they are any good?
