I am going to pick up a medium size fish, a tang. It is at someones house, the drive is about 90 minutes one way. What is a good method of doing so? Small one gallon bucket with a lid, large zip lock bag? etc.
Thanks in advance

More water is better as well. A 5 gallon bucket with three gallons of water in it. I would put it on the floor of the front seat, and ease the seat up to pin between the console and the seat to keep it in place in case you have to do any emergency stunt driving.

Ziplock too small even large ones. 1 gallon will be ok if tang not too big and as long as you have the airstone going... otherwise check with "seller" if it's ok to take 3gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket, I've done it no airstone no problem 2 hour drive. Tang was happy as could be, colored back up w/in 30 minutes during acclimation... sailfin 7"

Thanks for all of the tips and I wish I posted this earlier than I did because I was basically on my way out, so I picked up the fish it was already in a bag and in a styrofoam box, I drove 90 minutes home, open the box and the fish was dead.
I called the seller and he has already PayPal the money back, thanks craft brew for being a stand up guy, it is very good of you for doing that. I am heart broken over the loss of the Purple Tang.
