The spots have shown up. I'm thinking its flukes, however, I have never seen it before. I have ordered a bottle of Prazipro. This is currently a fish only 90 gallons tank with 40 gallon sump, still new. All the water parameters are just about perfect. Nitrate and Phosphate are near 0(Red sea pro test kit). Salinity is at 35 ppm Temp usually stays about 78.

A better pic would help. In the meantime, you can check the link for flukes ID/treatment etc.

Thanks, I have actually read that very post several times. Its actually one of the reason I'm worried it may be something else. The fish does not exhibit a lot of the symptoms. The only symptom he shows is loss of color, and scratching him self on the rocks. He eats every thing, then between feedings he is picking at the rocks and the glass. in addition he is a very active fish.

It looks like the spots are black. Could be black ich. If its black or white iche, treat with cupramine in a QT tank. Im not sure how many fish you have but if youre able to QT all of them for about 6-8 weeks dosing with cupramine for about 2 weeks and let you DT run fallow you can defeat ich. Thats how I did it and never saw ich again.

The little black spots are results of a bad picture, I'm worried about the big black patch above the eye. I have had fish with ich more than once and this does not look at all like it.

Sorry, about the quality, the don't look that bad until I upload them to the form. I will try with a different camera this afternoon.

Really hard to tell from the pics. Can you describe the spots more? Do they look like skin flaking or as if there’s a layer of mucous? Over what period have you started noticing spots and scratching?

What other fish do you keep? I assume ammonia is undetectable?

It's a round spot almost the size of a dime. It's white in the middle with a blackish ring around it. The is another patch on his belly that is irregular shaped but same description. There are only five fish in the tank. 2 blue chromis, 1 yellow tang, 1 Mimic Tang (the one with the spot), and 1 clown fish. I will try to get a better picture uploaded.

I feed Nori 2-3 time a week, formula one every day. I have also started feeding Seed weed pellets from Hikari, that are soaked in Selcon, mixed with sperialla enriched brine shrimp, and mysis.
