I got a few fish from my LFS a couple weeks ago. They had been treated with copper and in the system of the LFS for over two weeks I'm told. About three days ago I added two new fish that I got from an online retailer. Tonight I noticed a few white dots on my royal gramma and fairy wrasse (the original fish I got from the LFS). As of right now the gramma has 3 dots (2 on head, 1 on tail) and the wrasse has 1 on its tail. All the fish act healthy and eat, it's just these two that have white dots. I tried to highlight the dots to make them obvious in the pictures. Pls let me know if I am dealing with ich or possibly something else. Thanks in advance.

Maybe.. you can get Polyp Labs Reef Medic and treat in the DT. Mine had Ich and I used it for 20 days and all recovered and no harm to my mixed reef.

I checked the fish and “spots” have disappeared. I know ich can be suppressed with a healthy immune system. Is this what I am likely seeing? And should I still treat with copper? Or am I over thinking this?

thank you in advance

I would observe at this point. But let's get another opinion. @Big G

Frankly if the fish is in the tank I would just observe for now. However it looks a bit like a fluke on the wrasse. That might be something to look into. Check Humblefish’s sticky on R2R:

I just fed them they all ate, but I noticed a new fish was flashing against the sand but nothing visible on the skin. Does this suggest fluke/ich or could be a coincidence?

I'd consider giving the fish a freshwater dip to either confirm or eliminate flukes from the equation.
