Hi all. I got a few fish in yesterday and today they were all eating and enjoying life. Two tangs were grazing. All good.

checked tonight and sure enough a small purple tang has ich spots. Ok. Rushing my qt process a bit but whatever.

I am using copper power and checking with Hannah. I was planning on doing .25 a day to get me to 2.0. I went ahead and went straight to .5. Two hrs later and they’re eating and collectively destroyed an algae sheet.

Should I go ahead and get the level up higher or let it sit? I want to move fast enough to counter ang issues but I know I don’t want to go too fast.
Thanks for the help.

With Ich ramping up copper is not as urgent as with Velvet. Getting to therapeutic levels within 3-4 days or so is usually fine.

I've had ick in my tank once, unfortunately treatment, copper, didn't do anything compared to Herbtaina Microbelift, as soon as added to tank within 24 hrs I saw a definite change for the better of fish that didn't already die. I waited to long asking for help. It's not carried in many stores in my area. I've had marine tank for years before that and never heard of Microbelift, but I never had sick fish before that either. You may know about it so not to be insulting, it's all natural and I believe its safe for use with all marine life, they also have freash water version.

Thanks y’all. I’m going to raise it 1 tomorrow and then split the last full 1 over Monday.

I've had great success with spreading out the doses into small increments: AM, lunch, PM. It is easier on the fish and allows you to observe for copper sensitive fish.
