Fish with personality, they almost speak to you?!?

I'm amazed at how some long term fish tend to know there keepers and related to objects used to feed etc, they are actually in touch with their living room family , I swear! There is without a doubt true intelligence![emoji848][emoji106]. Some people talk about there dogs, cats, rats, parrots, etc. But fish! People think your kidding![emoji16] Here is "Blue" a hippo tang I've had about 10 years now, he is about 8" long, and doesn't fear anything inside or outside the tank for that matter! Right up against the glass showing off to get fed! Holding still for the camera. If you have any similar experiences and long term aquatic friends, pleAse share ![emoji106]

I haven't had my favorite lil' guy as long as you have had your lil' friend.
But I love my Starry Blenny ... he is an amazing lil' character!
He causes chaos in my tank from tossing frag plugs off the racks, flipping his tail in the sand putting sand all over all the corals, chases my lil' mollies but I honestly wouldn't have him any other way!!!

"Blue", does the same thing! I don't feed when I go to work every 3rd day, so I come home and the frag rack is on the sand, frags are placed on a bed of ricordias to burn, hilarious, and upsetting sometimes too![emoji23][emoji19]

I have a fresh water red tail puffer that me and my girlfriend got each other for valentine day.
He lets us pet him and he shoots up to the glass when we walk by the tank to get some food.

Dont know if this qualify as intelligence but my firefish is not afraid of sudden movement. Most firefish will dart into the rocks when spooked but mine is front and center.

Hes about 1 1/2 inches maybe 2 max

I have a few tanks outside and two nights ago I had a raccoon come and eat all my puffers. Sad days. But I kind of knew it was coming. It's time to reevaluate my puffer fish situation but for fish so far one of my favorites

I think i would probably cry if that happens and i know my girlfriend would.

Yes very sad days. I had two Greenspot it puffers. Other than color they look almost exactly like your puffers. I may try your puffer next time. Do you have issues with the teeth growing too big?

Yes. I have heaters. And a little over the tank I take the lid off during the summer. But now all that's left is a sea urchin. The lids were still off so I have a feeling that's why the raccoons came bye.

No i dont have a problem with him
And he is fresh water by the way.
And i just feed him snails i get for free at an LFS and he does good

I just got my starry out of QT. The thing knocked down all my my algae in a couple days.
