fish with personality

so i am getting a 120 gallon tank going and i was going to add a valentini or blue spotted because they seems like awesome cool fish but they have so many issues like CUC, corals, teething


so what other reef safe fish have some personality or are bolder?

Dwarf lions. Pretty chill during the day, but come alive at night.
Hawkfish and blennies as mentioned above are awesome fish too.

Can't go wrong with the Valentini though! Definitely worth a bit of coral nipping

Id pick a show fish first and then fill in the gaps with fish that do jobs. Scooters are an awesome fish like a Labrador and really clean up some bad bugs really but would not do well with aggressive fish

So a show fish tank or a community tank would be a good way to think about it.

Nothing wrong with a nem clown coris scooter coral beauty etc etc mixed reef tank.

not sure what a show fish is. i do plan on having a leopard or ornate wrasse and a frostbite clownfish but im still on the fence on valentini or blue spotted.
kinda depends on if my lfs will take it back if it is a terror

Triggers ...especially nigers are really fun..and personable....but not sure what direction you are going and you will lose the fight keeping a cuc.

I think they all have amazing personalities....even the cryptic ones.

I would pick slowly and carefully, giving yourself plenty of time to decide what you really like and what you're really willing to take care of.

If you still only had one or two fishes when the tank turns one or even two, then you'd be doing well enough!

Do you plan to have corals as well?

yes corals, alrdy have them and 6 fish
1 tail spot
1 yellow watchman with shrimp
1 diamond goby
2 chalk bass
1 clown

Kole tang and bi color blennies have always had tons of personality for me always active and such plus they eat algae plus plus

what i really want is to add
1 ornate or leopard
1 kole (never had a tang)
1 frostbite
and 1 valentini or blue spotted puffer

just really not sure on the puffer

im not opposed to those odds. would a lfs ever take back a fish knowing it nipped corals?

Depends on the store would have to ask them also look closely into puffers as some are more like 100 percent chance

My Yellow Eye Kole tang is a complete clown and and the expressive yellow highlighted eyes just add to its personality. But they don't get too big.
