All my fish go through 2 -3 weeks of copper and then transferred to a sterile tank for another 2 weeks to make sure they r goodIt could be a sign of aggression, it could be they’re just stretching, it could mean gill parasites like flukes, ich, velvet.
+1 stretching & possibly aggression. If it’s happening all the time then I’d consider the parasites listed above. It could be a sign of aggression, it could be they’re just stretching, it could mean gill parasites like flukes, ich, velvet.
Hi, fish are yawning occasionally mainly my anthias, what can that mean ?

I have a fish only system with a small CUC and some starfish. I give all fish fw dips b4 entering my DT and if i c flukes i treat with prazi if not i dont. Are they treated with praziquantel? If not, flukes are a real possibility since copper does not eradicate them.
A 5-minute freshwater dip will confirm whether or not flukes are present. And luckily, Prazipro is relatively Reef-safe. With the caveats that feather dusters and ornamental worms won’t tolerate treatment, and if you have a large bristleworm population the die-off can be problematic.
Having a water change at the ready, and making sure the tank is heavily aerated... will help to mitigate that risk.
I can dose DT woth prazi, would my starfish survive with prazi? Are they treated with praziquantel? If not, flukes are a real possibility since copper does not eradicate them.

If there are no other signs of illness I wouldn't worry. Most of my fish yawn, and it's been years.
