I am planning on getting 3 new wrasse soon. How long would you keep them in QT? How would you set one up for that? Would it need to cycle or can I just put water from the main display tank, with no sand or rock? ( I could put a bowl of sand in there for them to sleep. )

Probably easiest to do a water change, and use the "old" water into three separate tanks. You'll need the normal stuff in each tank, like a heater, circulation, and then just do water changes to keep it clean.

Put rock and sand in tank also besides water change, so that your fish can enjoy charm of real life. Chane tank's water according to need.

Follow btks instructions. He hit the nail on the head. And good luck. Post pics when you gt them!!

They also need a minimum of 30 days for ich to subside fully. Thats the worst part about quarantine, buying a nice new fish and not getting to see it in the display for 30 days. I personally don't quarantine my fish, but I know the risk

You should qt for a minimum of 4 weeks. During this time you can treat for any parasites and make sure the fish is eating prepared foods. Quarantine everything!

I really need to follow my own advice and quarantine, haha. Most of my fish are hand picked from a wholesaler, or they come from Divers Den. I know neither is guaranteed, but I feel I have a better shot :) I'll probably start doing this though, since I just put in about $1000 worth of high end fish within the last week.
