Can you give some more information? Are you planning a FoWLR (fish only with live rock), predictor tank, eeef tank, etc? Depending on your goals the kinds of fish you would want to start off with will change.

I want to start adding coral to the tank in the next 2 weeks. Just in case my water peramiters spike up of keeping coral is good.I have a medium sailfin tang, medium chocolate tang medium coral beauty, small regular clown and 4 small cromis. I want some spicies of wrasse or Maybe some middle to lower water swimming fish.

Hmmmm… that already seems like a bunch of fish for a nano tank BUT I if you are set on getting more I would recommend some type of easy to care for goby that doesn’t get to large like a watchman Goby or prawn goby. Firefish are also stunning and are easy to care for and perfect for nano tanks :).

I assume you already have a CUC but mabye (if you don’t already have one) a cleaner shrimp. They are by far my favorite invertebrate they have such a personality and they are super hardy.

First retort is:
Is this a fish with coral or fish only set up ?

Assuming coral will go in, and based on dimensions, stick to fish that wont grow quickly and large such as:
Firefish goby
twin spot blenny
strawberry basslet
6 line wrasse
banggai cardinal
diamong gogy
flame angel
clownfish (introduced last)

Two tangs and a coral beauty in 36g sounds like Times Square in a tank! Or perhaps it's really a 360g bowfront tank, and one of the zeroes got chopped off.

Assuming that your tank is indeed 36 gallons (not 360), and assuming that you're looking for permanent residents to add to this tank, well, there are a lot of great gobies and blennies you could fit in that tank (though they'll generally be higher up in the tank, as I understand it), as well a few basslets (such as Chalk Bass, Lantern Bass, Royal Gramma, Randall's Assessor Basslet, etc.). You could potentially do a Geometric Pygmy Hawkfish too - this or some Chalk Bass could potentially add some interest to the lower parts of your tank. Not sure what would be the best if you're looking for big swimmers that low in the tank though.

Your choices for permanent wrasse in that 36 gallon tank are pretty limited: Wetmorella tanakai (Pygmy Possum Wrasse), Wetmorella nigropinnata (Yellow Banded Possum Wrasse), and Pseudocheilinops ataenia (Pink-streaked Pygmy Wrasse) are the only ones I know of for a tank that small.

That said, I have to agree that if your tank is 36 gallons, the two tangs and the coral beauty are probably not appropriate choices for long (or even really medium) term care, as they (especially the tangs) get quite large and just won't do well in a tank that size as they grow (they'll become visibly stressed and unhappy/unhealthy).

Clown tang obviously :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Joking

I would just put that money towards an upgrade. Maybe 125g or 180g. Those tangs get big. Sailfin grows fast.

Maybe buy some coral instead of ya got an itch to buy something now.

It would be great if you could send some pics of the tank? Just for reference :)

I plan on growing out the sailfin so I can get credit from it and get some different fish I just liked the look of it.

I don’t have a reef test kit yet I only have a regular saltwater test kit so I don’t know the levels of magnesium, kH and phosphates and I’ve had bad luck with coral I had a blue candy cane and a pulsing Xenia. The pulsing xenias are really easy and it dyed.

what lights do you have? Do you know your salinity? Do you use rodi water or distilled to mix salt?

Your tank needs some powerheads. A bubbler isn’t going to cut it for coral and probably not ideal for tangs either.

You got the wrong type of fish for your size tank. Exchange them for some credit and get a nice 5 or 6 small colorful fish and things will probably run smoother for you long term.

do you use tap water or RODI/distilled?

I am not sure aqua top if appropriate for corals. They need decent lighting. I couldn't find specs on it on a quick google but I am not familiar with that light. Some simple mushroom corals would probably be the hardiest thing.
