No, absolutely not. LiveAquaria has a decent compatibility chart and pretty good descriptions of each fish and their behavior. The best advice is to research each fish you are interested in to best understand compatibility and care requirements.hello i am new to reefs. are all saltwater fish compatible? if not which fish can go with which?
Ah, I see thank you very much for your help. Also is it true that I can have aggressive and peaceful fish together in a large tank? No, absolutely not. It depends what exactly you mean. There are predator fish (which are aggressive) that will eat any fish smaller than themselves like lion-fish or frog fish (anglers). Those are not compatible with any fish it could eat. There are other fish that will eat all invertebrates (snails and crabs, etc), like puffer fish and certain wrasses…..so if you want a cuc (clean up crew) you can’t keep those. Other fish are just aggressive in that they will bully/chase other fish like damsels and dottybacks. This last group can sometimes be kept with peaceful fish in a large enough tank.Ah, I see thank you very much for your help.
