Is that a Diamond tail flasher?

And another 2 of them!
My Ctenochaetus binotatus that I brought on 5th February 2020, this guy has put on some nice colours and size. And the second is my Macropharyngodon bipartitus I got on 23rd September 2021, she’s Atleast tripled in size since then as she wasn’t much bigger than a 1 pence coin. I mean that’s my old Pink Streaked Wrasse in the photo next to her.

The name of the thread said it all. Please show pictures of fish that grew up in your tank. I am such a nut regarding getting young small fish and grow them out. Very rewarding IMO.
The following are fish that I have pictures of when I first got them into my tank. There are quite a few that I do not. Please post pictures. If you don't have the old pictures
then that is OK
I guess we don't have to see them when they were young but if would be interesting if you can show their development over the years.

Chances are it’s how often instead of what, the more you feed the fatter they get. The actual food I find just boosts their nutrients and colour.

Just Nori on several clips in the tank. The Nori normally run out late in the afternoons

Yes they are. The last picture show the male and female spawning.
You have quite a few pairs and trios of wrasses, I’m curious what you do once both/all of the pairs/trios have transitioned, do you leave them until aggression gets extremely bad between males of the same species?
P.S. Not trying to seem judgemental - I have two males of the same Cirrhilabrus species in a 4’ tank.

I find that, unlike the opinion of the wrasse expert, only one of the pair or trio turn male. The only wrasse species thatI have that was two male was two Lubbock wrasse. I added both in as male because I thought that they were male and female. The rest I added as juveniles. Usually only one turn male even when they are very well fed and fat.
IMO the male must be in top shape, strong and active to suppress the sex a change of lower rank wrasse. I know that I don’t have problem with this in my tank

He was maybe .75" long in the first photo. He's at least 2.5" long now.

Hi Minh. This is them today. I'll have to post a thread about them. I bought them in 1993.

Wow I would love to hear how you’ve avoided things like power outages, HVAC techs turning off after maintenance, hurricanes, floods, and all of the other things outside of my control that have destroyed my aquariums over the decades. I’m very impressed.

Hope to post this weekend or Thanksgiving. I always plan things on the KIS principle (Keep It Simple) and planning vital components with double redundancy.

Agreed for sure, and I guess you don’t live where typhoons, floods, or earthquakes can happen!
