Call me crazy, but after some Dr Tim’s + Ammonia and a lot of waiting, I thought I was on a great cycling track.

Then my ammonia levels started rising for an empty tank.

Does anyone know what’s happening here?

Are you dosing ammonia daily? IF so have you increased the amount at all?

No, I haven't dosed any Ammonia post the initial does'ing (somewhere > 1.0ppm). To my knowledge, there's no value in continuously dosing. Atm, my Nitrite is as around 14ppb - it would have been around time for me to dose just a tidbit more Ammonia to verify prior to adding anything in, but then this started happening.

Mind you, I sanitized the cuvette just to be sure as well...

I see nice rock, saltwater, sand, heat, flow and Dr.Tims. Add 5 days then your cycled.

If test does not agree, it’s wrong. Move forward.

One of the top ten issues starting new systems.

Ammonia tests are not so fine.

lol, this is sort of where I'm at. I've been cycling for a few weeks now at this point.
