I’m following the Dr Tim’s directions for a fishless cycle, it’s been about 36 hrs and there’s been no change in ammonia. It’s still hovering about 2ppm and nitrites are reading at 0ppm. My system is about 91 gallons. I’m worried I did something wrong, but also figured maybe it can take longer than a couple days. I’m just nervous I overdosed the ammonium chloride.

I noticed some people turn their pumps off, I haven’t done that, but my skimmer isn’t running and I took out the filter sock.

Ot takes at least 3 weeks with certain techniques, and over a month the usual way...there is no need in checking after a couple of days
