I traded in some corals from my old tank and was able to get a Melanurus wrasse for $2[emoji3]. It is currently in quarantine and will be the first fish to make it to the 45 if all goes well! I will be ordering the micro ato tonight.

Well I know you have water in now, but have (had) you considered setting the tank and stand on an angle to the wall? I reluctantly did that with mine, but it ends up looking good.

I did actually but the tank is near a tv. So it looked out of place and caused glare. I can see how it could look good though!

This came in the other day! The tank has finished cycling and I added a hermit crab and red fire shrimp from my qt. Melanurus wrasse will be going in, in about a week.

my 150w heater won't keep my tank at 78* it gets to about 76* and thats about it (cobalt neotherm) i had to add another heater

A little update on the tank:
Dkh 9.2
Mg 1420
Cal 500 (right after a water change)
The melanarus wrasse is in the tank and is doing well. As far as the corals go everything is doing ok except for the gsp and the torch. The gsp has been closed the last day of two but I am sure it will bounce back. The torch has been showing its skeleton and has a gaping mouth.

After doing a water change the torch is looking somewhat better but it still isn't looking great.

I just got two frozen frostbite clowns which cost a pretty penny. My melanarus wrasse has been swimming up at them and pushing them into the top left corner of the tank. This has been going on for maybe half and hour and part of me says it isn't worth it to stress the clowns out anymore and I should just get the wrasse out of the there. But the other part of me says that this will end soon and they will both go back to minding their own business. Anyone have suggestions on what I should do?

Clowns are eating like pigs and seem to be getting along with the wrasse after putting a mirror up for two days.

Sorry I just noticed this now! I put the mirror at first on the front of the tank but I moved it to the side glass so I could actually see everything. I added the mirror to get my melanarus wrasse to stop attacking my clowns and after a few days I took the mirror away and he didn't pay attention to the clowns.

My anemone moved to the back of the tank after I added it so yesterday I decided I was going to try to get him to stay where I could see him. I ended up taking some of the top rock work out to get the anemone, but when I tried to put the rocks back in place I couldn't get them back to the way they were. So I just left it the way it is and I guess you could say I have a island/minimalistic look now!
