Fishninja's JBJ 45 Gallon

If you want it higher then you just add more water to the tank. With the pumps on, the water level in the display will stay consistent, it is the back chambers that changes. In mine the middle chamber is slightly lower than the outer chambers.

Is the water level in each of your chambers the same? On my JBJ they are the same but I have heard they are supposed to be different.
If the 2nd chamber is not spilling over in to the center chamber it won't be circulating very good I think

Tank looks great. I like your ricordea rock! Reminds me of my mushroom rock, unfortunately I've never been able to keep ricordea or yumas. Maybe I will try again with this tank.

I love looking at Yumas but hate them in my systems. I had 3 side by side by side about 6 months ago. The middle one died, the left one grew like crazy and the right one colored up real well but never grew. Ricordeas on the other hand lvoe my tank a little too much, they grow and spawn so fast that its too much of a pain.

I went ahead and weighed the chaeto to give a more accurate depiction of how well the fuge will work. It was 16 grams; I will weigh it in about a week and then again in two weeks.

How long are you running the light? I have heard some people do it 24/7, so run it opposite of their tanks lights, and some only with the tanks lights.

Additions to my zoa collection.

Not sure what you mean? I have pods in my tank already. I think that it might provide an area for my pod population to grow, but I am doing it more as a method of nutrient export.

I will be interested to see if the growth continues. I made and "algae reactor" for my 90 and the growth the first two weeks was insane but almost as quickly as it grew it began to go away until I only had a few little strings left. I finally just took it down because I got tired of the little bits breaking off and ending up in the tank

That's weird… do you think it was because the nutrients were so low or something else?
