Not bad for 3 hours modeling and 5 hours printing.

It’s rough, and I need to re-level the bed and calibrate my extrusion, but it’s a good v1. Going to change the size of the screws and threads (super fine detail like threads are hard to do, so may go the ‘press fit threaded insert’ route) and drop the height down to 1.75” instead of 3 to make it more streamlined.
Check today’s print out-
I have a 12”x12” print bed, so this thing is 15” long...

My ATO low sensor works as expected.
Now, flip this to refill!
Next is to determine how long it takes to fill. A little over 3.5 hours I think. Then I will create a VO in apex, with the condition that the VO is on when ATO-Lo is on, then do a min time of 3.5 hours. The solenoid outlet will be conditioned to turn on when this VO (ATO-timer) is on, and to turn off when the ATO-max float switch is closed. A final layer of protection will be a ‘hard off’ that will trigger if the ATO-max isn’t closed within 4 hours. ‘Hard off’ because I physically have to go into fusion to set it back to auto... forces me to go look for why it took longer than expected- in this case, probably a leak or a blocked rodi line
The VO is needed, since the min time command makes the outlet keep that state for the min time, regardless of if you switch it off or on manually. If you were to put that command into the outlet itself, any time it turns on, it stays on for the min time. Using the VO allows you to also manually trigger the outlet for any period of time.

Yep- Christmas present from the kids.
I used it pretty regular for a month- made pen holders, crayon cases, some small toys, then a small cable snagged and it stopped heating. Got that fixed then life got in the way. Fired it up again last week to print some ‘trophy skulks’ I’m going to mount in my workshop, like deer heads etc.
But dinosaur and alien skulls, lol [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]

I have an Adimlab gantry, which is a clone of the E3. Slightly less expensive to buy but it needs immediate upgrades
I’d go with the E3 if I was buying it myself.

PLA
ABS needs better temp control in an enclosure, and a charcoal fume extractor. The fumes are pretty nasty. Once I dial it in and am printing regularly, I might try ABS
PLA isn’t much better, but the material isn’t as toxic so I have it in a vented space in my basement.
